Wednesday Wonderings For 5/4/2016

May 4, 2016

May the Fourth be with you!  Might be the day I finally get all the DVDs.  Who knows?  Not much I can really get into great detail about this week, so just some more random type stuff.  I’m a bit impressed I manage to keep going on a regular schedule with this and not degrade into complete nonsense.

  • Been reading Ready Player One.  Steven Spielberg is making the movie.  Interesting read so far.  Got me thinking about how I almost never play video games anymore.  Still not sure how I feel about that.
  • Going to try do more drawings by hand rather than on the computer.  I like doing either, but something feels more natural about drawing by hand.
  • Figuring out what I’m going to do for my next cooking experiment.  Been wanting Stroganoff lately, but that’s the victory meal for the end of the Soul Wars.
  • Saw the trailer for the Eric Snowden movie coming out soon.  Personally, I never really took the whole thing that seriously.  The NSA is watching me?  My response: progressively go to greater levels of depravity with my pornographic experiences.  If they were/are watching, I hope they enjoyed it.  As much fun as I did have with it, there were one or two things I found out I wasn’t that into after all.
  • Was going to comment about some stuff at work, but I don’t know how diplomatic I can be.  Some serious stuff, some strong opinions about the individuals involved.  Still ongoing.  My hope is when all is said and done, there will be a much needed change in the culture about the place.  Things have been growing very negative around the place for a long time.  It is past due for that to change.  I like getting paid $20 an hour and having the good benefits, but there comes a point–and I can understand more than a few people reaching that point–where the negativity we’ve got becomes too much.
