DC Comics III

The September 21 releases…

Batman #1:

Scott Snyder?  No brainer here.

Birds of Prey #1:

Birds of Prey (BOP, as the cool kids call it) without Barbara Gordon?  Not at all sure how I feel about that…  Duane Swierczynski has done well in the past…  Not sure how this will do with Babs in her own series, but will at least give it a cursory glance.

Blue Beetle #1:

I wonder how much of this is going to be a repackaging of the previous Beetle storylines.  Probably going to pass on this one.

Captain Atom #1:

Solid creative team.  Though I doubt this will last as an ongoing, it should be worth checking out.

Catwoman #1:

Guillem March was excellent on the art for Gotham City Sirens, which was a surprisingly good series when it first came out.  Judd Winick knows these characters.  I think this one is a keeper.

DC Universe Presents #1:

If DC can get this right, this series will do really well.  Will check it out.

Green Lantern Corps #1:

Tomasi did well with his run on the last series.  Let’s see if it keeps up the pace.

Legion of Superheroes #1:

It doesn’t matter what incarnation, I will always love the Legion of Superheroes.  Buying every issue of this.  Long Live the Legion!

Nightwing #1:

Art should be good, but I have to wonder if it will fall due to an overpopulated Gotham.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #1:

Jason Todd, Arsenal and Starfire form a team of renegades?  Not interested.  As far as I was concerned, everything after Jason’s return was a disaster.  Should have just left him dead.

Supergirl #1:

I think series some tremendous potential.  We’ll see how it goes.

Wonder Woman #1:

Azzarello is a very talented writer.  I hope he does well and will read this series.
